International 
What Women Want supports the UNFCC and the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol with negotiations for much stronger goals.

What Women Want have adopted a zero emission minus goal by 2040 and have adopted the following interim goals using a base of 1990 emissions levels:
- minimum overall greenhouse emissions reductions of 50% by 2020.
- 90% emission reduction by 2030
These goals are the strongest of any political party assessed.
Carbon Taxes / Trading 
What Women Want support a mix of carbon trading, taxes and mandatory energy reductions designed to achieve the desired goals.
Energy
Renewables 
What Women Want will seek a fast transition to a majority renewable based energy system by 2030.
They support "community and home scale grid connected energy production" including feed in tariffs.
Renewable Research
What Women Want have not mentioned renewable research.
Coal 
What Women Want do not seek a future for the domestic and export coal industries and do not support Carbon Capture and Storage.
Fossil Fuel Subsidies 
What Women Want supports a rapid transition away from fossil fuels.
Nuclear 
What Women Want opposes nuclear power plants and supports the shutting down of the uranium mining industry.
Energy Efficiency / Reduction 
What Women Want "supports the development and expansion of the energy efficiency industry and would seek to increase energy efficiency standards, labeling, provide incentives to implement energy efficiency programs through all sectors of the Australian economy".
Transport 
What Women Want supports "development of urban form which is based around walking, cycling and public transport infrastructure for transport and reduces the need for private car use, promotes car free living spaces, builds community and are pleasant places to live."
Cycling and Walking 
What Women Want supports major investment in cycling and walking infrastructure.
Public Transport 
What Women Want "supports a rapid expansion of public transport based around electrified heavy and light rail run on renewable electricity within population centers and between urban and rural population centers."
Road Spending 
What Women Want will transfer the bulk of road spending to "developing new walking, cycling and rail infrastructure".
Rail Freight 
What Women Want support moving freight to electrified light and heavy rail.
Low Emissions Vehicles 
What Women Want support low emission and electric vehicles.
Oil Peak 
What Women Want do not specifically reference the issue of oil peak though they acknowledge the impacts of increasing oil prices and their proposals for transport are the same solutions that you would implement if responding to oil peak.
Land clearing and forestry 
What Women Want support an end to land clearing and native forest logging. They would include both in any carbon tax or trading scheme.
Agriculture 
What Women Want support reducing emissions from agriculture including promoting organic agriculture.
They would include agriculture in any carbon tax or trading scheme.
Social Justice 
What Women Want acknowledge the need to "plan effective and just transitions for workers, families and communities currently dependent on carbon intensive industries".
The "support initiatives to ensure the poorest and most disadvantaged members of our society do not suffer from any potential increase in energy prices".
